🔒 The short version: We process your audio and text to deliver the service and don't store it on our servers. We never sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it to train AI models.
1. Who We Are
MissPrompt ("we," "us," "our") provides AI-powered productivity tools — Dictate, Meeting, Write, and Browser — available on Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, and Chrome. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our software and services ("Service").

2. Information We Collect
Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address. We use your email to authenticate you, send your login link, and communicate important account updates. We do not collect your name, phone number, or physical address.
Payment information. Payments are processed entirely by Stripe. MissPrompt never sees, stores, or has access to your credit card number or banking details. Stripe provides us only with a transaction confirmation and your subscription status.
Audio recordings (Dictate & Meeting). When you use Dictate or Meeting, audio is recorded on your device and transmitted securely to our AI processing provider (Groq) for transcription. The audio and transcript are returned to your device and are not retained on our servers after processing is complete.
Text content (Write & Browser). Text you submit for enhancement or correction is transmitted to our AI processing provider (OpenAI) via our Cloudflare Worker. The text and result are returned to your device and are not retained on our servers.
History sync (optional). If you enable History Sync in Settings, your transcription and writing history is stored in an encrypted database (Cloudflare D1) linked to your account. You can disable this at any time and delete stored history from your account settings.
Usage data. We collect minimal technical information to operate the Service — such as API error rates, request counts, and subscription status. We do not use third-party analytics trackers on the desktop or mobile apps.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To authenticate your account and deliver the Service
- To process audio and text through AI providers on your behalf
- To manage your subscription and billing via Stripe
- To send account-related emails (login links, trial reminders, billing receipts)
- To diagnose and fix technical issues
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose not directly related to delivering the Service.
4. Third-Party Services
MissPrompt relies on the following third-party providers to deliver the Service. Each is bound by its own privacy policy and data processing terms:
- Groq — AI inference for audio transcription (Dictate and Meeting). Audio is transmitted over TLS and not retained after transcription. Groq Privacy Policy →

5. Data Storage and Retention
Audio and text content processed through Dictate, Meeting (without History Sync), Write, and Browser is not stored on MissPrompt servers. It lives only on your device.
Account data (email address and subscription status) is retained for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your email and subscription record are permanently deleted within 30 days.
History Sync data is retained until you delete it or close your account. You can delete individual entries or all history at any time from Settings.
Payment records are retained by Stripe as required for financial and tax compliance.
6. Data Security
All data transmitted between the MissPrompt apps and our servers is encrypted using TLS. Account data stored in Cloudflare D1 is encrypted at rest. We use token-based authentication (magic link via email) — there are no passwords to compromise.
Despite these measures, no system is perfectly secure. We encourage you to keep your email account secure, as it is the key to your MissPrompt account.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights including:
- Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction — Ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Deletion — Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Portability — Request your data in a machine-readable format
- Opt-out of sale — We do not sell personal data, so this right is already satisfied

8. Children's Privacy
MissPrompt is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.
9. Cookies and Tracking
The MissPrompt landing page uses session storage only for the preview password gate — this is cleared when you close your browser tab. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels, or third-party analytics on this website.
The desktop and mobile apps do not use cookies.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top and, for material changes, notify you by email at your registered address. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
